We are an innovative manufacturing hub creating and producing items that are co-designed with the NHS, made in the heart of Northumbria.
Based in Seaton Delaval, we operate from a 40,000 sq/m site and are paving the way for the future of PPE provision for the health and care sector. Born from a sudden demand for PPE at a local level, the trust plugged a gap when national supply was not sufficient.
Since then, our capacity and capability has continued to expand rapidly, and we are now producing a whole range of products that go beyond every day PPE, even offering upholstery and embroidery services.
We are committed to applying our ‘outstanding’ ethos to our production activities too. With unique access to a workforce of healthcare professionals, all items produced are co-designed and tested at every stage of the product development, allowing for real time feedback to achieve the best results.
The products created are tested on clinicians from the trust, where feedback is provided around comfort, practicalities and quality, leading to overall product improvement. This provides the unique opportunity to improve what has previously been accepted as the market standard, and make it more comfortable for staff who could potentially be wearing the items for 12+ hours a day.
